Carcass characteristics and organ proportions of broiler chickens fed different plant protein sources in an Acha grain-based diet

The stiff competition between man and livestock for maize as energy feedstuff has resulted in the high cost of poultry products. Therefore, a study was conducted to evaluate effect feeding acha-based diet varying dietary plant protein broiler chickens on carcass characteristic organ proportions. A total 120, one day-old Abor acre chicks were used Complete Randomized Design. Four proteins included chicken at 28% level with an acha grain main source. Diet 1 contains groundnut cake, while diets 2, 3 4 contain full fat soyabean, soyabean cake cashew nut meal, respectively. birds randomly allotted treatment groups, each group having 30 which further subdivided into replicates 10 each. This lasted 56 days. At end trial, evaluation carried out. One bird per replicate selected, starved overnight slaughtered by severing jugular vein. visceral removed weighed. results showed that fed (Diet 3) had highest live weight gain (2155.00g), (1855.00g), defeathered (1838.33g), dressed (1455.00g) shank (112.00g). proportions significant differences (p<0.05), though followed no definite trend. In conclusion, gave best weight, negative par offered birds. Thus, inclusion 28%, meal acha-grain based proved be superior over it is therefore recommended. 
 La vive concurrence entre l'homme et le bétail pour maïs comme aliment énergétique entraîné coût élevé des produits de volaille. Par conséquent, une étude été menée évaluer l'effet l'alimentation à base d'acha avec protéines végétales alimentaires variées sur les poulets chair ainsi que caractéristiques la carcasse organes. Un 120 poussins 'Abor acre' âgés d'un jour utilisés l'étude dans un plan randomisé complet. Quatre diététiques ont incluses régime taux étant principale source d'énergie. En donné meilleur carcasse, aucun effet négatif rapport aux offerts oiseaux. Ainsi, l'inclusion céréalesacha s'est avérée supérieure d'arachide cajou elle est donc recommandée.
